STUDY FINDS INFINITI DRIVERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO WANT SELF-DRIVING CARS

November 20, 2017

It’s no secret that INFINITI drivers are smart, fashionable and adventurous, so it’s not surprising that they are also forward-thinking! A recent survey found that INFINITI owners are more likely to take the plunge and buy self-driving cars in the future.

Fully-automated vehicles may not be available yet, but the industry is making more and more progress in developing the technology each day. Self-driving cars are being tested all over the world, and will be available to consumers within the near future. In a survey conducted by MaritzCX, it was found that 27 percent of INFINITI owners were “very interested” in buying a car that can drive itself. Not only were INFINITI owners the most open to the idea, but they were also way ahead of most other auto brand owners.

While there is still a long way to go in developing the technology, it’s no surprise that INFINITI drivers are the most excited about the prospects. New INFINITI cars and SUVs are equipped with some of the most innovative semi-autonomous safety features, including Backup Collision Intervention, Direct Adaptive Steering, Intelligent Brake Assist with Forward Emergency Braking, Intelligent Cruise Control and more.

“The luxury-vehicle owners are more willing to accept this technology because they believe safety would be much better in these types of vehicles,” said Shawn St. Clair, the survey author and global syndication director at MaritzCX.
