WHICH CAR LED THE 2018 BOSTON MARATHON?

Effort goes into every Boston Marathon runner’s routine. It is only fitting to honor that effort with a vehicle that has been completely revised for greater performance, capability, strength, and craftsmanship. As such, INFINITI is honored to have supplied the 2019 INFINITI QX50 as the leader for the 122nd year of the famous Boston race.

In fact, the QX50 was a part of the festivities for all of the Boston Athletic Association’s (BAA) events, including the 5K, 10K and half marathon. There were VIP tents for finishers and an interactive exhibit in Copley Square.

The INFINITI partnership with the race goes much deeper than this however. It supported the BAA in its Year of Service. Volunteer Deb Kerr was chosen to represent the Semper Fi Fund. She led the race, taking a place of honor in the QX50. As you may know, the Semper Fi Fund takes care of injured military members. The organization was given a $10,000 gift from INFINITI, honoring the work of the Semper Fi Fund’s volunteers.

New to the scene, the 2019 QX50 carries on traditions of INFINITI excellence in technology. Its futuristic offerings include one of the brand’s ProPilot. On the highway, drivers can utilize ProPilot automation. A lane keeper keeps the QX50 within marked lines, and adaptive cruise control speeds and slows to match traffic. It’s no substitute for the human driver, but it is closer than any other luxury compact crossover offers today.

INFINITI offers unique safety equipment such as its predictive system for forward collision warnings. By seeing several car lengths ahead, it can warn the driver to stop sooner. Moving object detection may see a person with a shopping car before the driver does, preventing a potentially tragic mistake.

Ready to go the distance for its owners, the 2019 INFINITI QX50 is the first crossover with a VC-Turbo powertrain. This clever engine utilizes a variable compression ratio. For the owner, this means exemplary fuel economy. For drivers, it means top performance with high torque rates for ample acceleration.

The QX50 sits on a new platform, wears sculpted new sheet metal, and sports an aerodynamic design. Wheel arches have inlets and outlets for airflow. An integrated door design makes metal and glass seem to flow together. The clamshell hood, crescent-cut D-pillar, and signature LED lights add to its distinctive appearance.

Ready, set, go! The 2019 QX50 awaits your inspection at INFINITI of Peoria. Enjoy a test drive and get more information about QX50 luxuries and comforts.
