WHAT'S NEW FOR THE 2021 INFINITI Q50?
The INFINITI Q50 gets mild updates in 2021. This year, the Luxe trim, which is the mid-level trim, has some additional safety amenities added as standard features. The Q50 otherwise remains virtually identical to the Q50 produced in 2020. The latest Q50 has the exceptional performance to match its sporty but refined exterior.
2021 INFINITI Q50 IS IMPRESSIVE NO MATTER WHICH TRIM YOU CHOOSE
The 2021 Lexus Q50 comes in four trims. The first in the lineup is the Pure. LED lights are standard on the Pure. It also has a keyless ignition and entry system for convenience. Both front seats are power-adjustable. The seats are finished in comfortable simulated leather. For infotainment, the base model has a dual-touchscreen configuration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The base trim also has a six-speaker stereo system. The Luxe is the second trim. It has a few modest upgrades but unlocks the option for two comprehensive packages: the ProAssist and Essential. The first package adds on safety features, while the second adds more luxury amenities. The Sensory trim includes leather upholstery, an air purifier, sport seats with memory capabilities, a 16-speaker premium Bose audio system, and adaptive dampers. The Red Sport 400 comes with a more powerful V6 engine. It also has premium leather seats and has the option for more safety features.
WHAT’S UNDER THE HOOD OF THE Q50?
All Q50 trims except for the Red Sport have the same engine. A 3.0L engine with six cylinders drives them. This engine's power output is 300 HP, and its torque capacity is 295 LB-FT. The engine for the Red Sport 400 is a twin-turbo 3.0L V6. This engine's power output increases to 400 HP and 350 LB-FT of torque. The standard transmission for both engines is a seven-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is available, but the Q50 comes standard with rear-wheel drive.
2021 BRINGS A WIDE SELECTION OF SAFETY TECH
From the outside in, numerous safety features are included on the 2021 Q50. The base trim features LED lights and forward collision warning. Automatic emergency braking is included as well. The higher-end trims have more safety features available, including a panoramic monitor and forward emergency braking, which helps bring the car to a stop based on slowing traffic ahead. This feature applies the brakes, even judging up to two vehicles ahead. A backup collision intervention feature is also standard on the top trim levels. Most of the safety features that are standard on the higher-end trims are offered as available upgrades, primarily through packages, for the lower-level trims.
