What's New for The 2018 INFINITI QX80?
In 2018, the INFINITI QX80 has gotten a new look with a restyling of its front end that includes the grille, headlights, fenders, and hood to give it a sleeker theme. The back end also has had its taillights and lift gate redesigned to match the new style. On the inside, the QX80 has new leather seats, wood accents, and an upgraded infotainment system. The QX80 loses the Limited model in 2018 as well, opting to make a single trim customizable with various packages.
2018 INFINITI QX80 Trim and Features
The 2018 INFINITI QX80 has a single standard trim with the basic option of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The standard equipment also includes keyless entry and start, a 10-way power driver’s seat and 8-way power front passenger seat, heated steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, and a power tilt and telescopic steering wheel. There’s also the power sunroof, power lift gate in the back, and LED headlights. The electronics includes voice-activated navigation, both front and rear sonar parking helpers, and Bluetooth connectivity. The Around View 360-degree monitor is also included as standard equipment. It consists of cameras mounted in strategic places around the vehicle to offer a complete view of the SUV’s surroundings.
The basic trim can be enhanced with several packages. The Deluxe Technology package includes the Hydraulic Body Motion Control system, which controls the shocks individually to maintain balance when leaning into hard turns and to prevent rollovers. There’s also blind spot monitoring, adaptive front lighting, a 15-speaker Bose audio system, and more.
The Driver Assistance package adds backup-collision detection, intelligent cruise control, forwards emergency braking, and pedestrian detection. The Tire and Wheel package upgrades the standard wheels to 22-in wheels. A Theater package adds a pair of 8-in LCD screens, wireless headsets, and heated rear passenger seats to make long distance drives more entertaining. The Split Bench package brings the passenger count up from seven to eight by replacing the back captain’s chair seats with a full-size bench seat. There’s also a Wi-Fi package that adds a hotspot to the QX80.
2018 INFINITI QX80 Horsepower
The INFINITI QX80 has a 5.6-liter V8 engine that provides 400 horsepower. This gives the QX80 an impressive acceleration curve for a large SUV. It can also handle towing loads up to 8,500 pounds and seats seven or eight people. The engine’s performance combined with the superior suspension and steering makes it a driving experience more akin to a crossover than a full-size SUV.

The INFINITI QX80 has a full set of safety features that include anti-lock brakes, an optional Hydraulic Body Motion Control system that pressurizes the QX80 shocks to compensate for leaning and prevent rollovers, and electronic traction control.
