TREAT YOUR MOM TO A MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION IN PARADISE

Looking for the perfect way to pamper your mother, grandmother or wife this Mother’s Day weekend? The annual free Mother’s Day Celebration in Historic Downtown Glendale is a great way to start! Taking place on Saturday, May 13, this year’s theme is Hawaiian Paradise, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to treat the moms in your life to this relaxing staycation.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Downtown Glendale transforms into a tropical paradise that is sure to make your mom feel like a queen. Be sure to arrive on time, as the first 250 moms to enter will be awarded a beautiful lei!

Once you arrive in downtown, pick up a map at the visitor center for full details on the event. There are plenty of special activities and treats to indulge in throughout the day, as well as great sales and discounts from local shops. Ollie the Trolley will also be giving free rides all day, so don’t fret about having to walk around in the not-so-beachy weather.

The annual event also doubles as a charity drive for Operation Women Warriors. From now until May 13, the organization will be collecting much-needed items for women soldiers abroad, including novels and activity books, haircare products, lotions and toiletries, just to name a few. A full list of items can be found here, and all donations should be dropped off at the Glendale Visitor Center at 5800 W. Glenn Drive, Suite 140.
