What can luxury SUV shoppers expect from the next-generation QX80? INFINITI’s latest concept, the QX80 Monograph, offers a stunning preview of the forthcoming redesign.

The INFINITI QX80 is the automaker’s utmost expression of luxury utility and power, offering an abundance of amenities alongside robust power and towing prowess. However, the Monograph concept takes things to the next level, envisioning an evolved design language that conveys futuristic, “upscale luxury” according to the automaker.

“The QX80 Monograph represents a detailed study into our expertise of exterior design. QX80 Monograph shows our concept of luxury and style on the road, and is an exploration into how we could enhance our future INFINITI offering in the luxury SUV segment,” stated Roland Krueger, President, INFINITI.

The concept shows off a more modern, sculpted body that incorporates “a mix of geometric and organic shapes” for an elevated sense of luxury. The new design also balances bold with soft, and is both “brute and sensual” according to the INFINITI design team.

There are several noteworthy focal points throughout the Monograph, many of them on the SUV’s front end. The new double-arch grille and larger front air intakes give the QX80 a commandeering presence, while the “human-eye” headlights with piano key LEDs and wraparound lamps highlight the artistic inspiration. On the back side, the crescent-shaped D-pillar and wing-like taillights further emphasize the SUV’s enhanced aerodynamism.

The automaker has confirmed that the next-generation QX80 will take a lot of inspiration from the Monograph concept, so INFINITI fans can expect to see a similar production model within the coming months. Stay tuned to our blog for the latest updates!
