INFINITI DEBUTS ‘POWERFUL ELEGANCE’ IN THE NEW QX SPORT SUV

INFINITI debuted their newest mid-size premium SUV at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show last month, delighting critics and car lovers with its elegant and powerful new design. Called the QX Sport Inspiration, this new luxury SUV signals a new start for the automaker who has been reworking its lineup for the past few months.

“The QX Sport Inspiration is a statement of intent from INFINITI , showcasing a daring design philosophy and a demonstration of our capabilities in the mid-size SUV segment,” said Roland Krueger, President of INFINITI.

The new SUV features muscular haunches, a long bonnet, a coupe-like silhouette and a high visual center of gravity that gives it a very aggressive yet sophisticated feeling. It also features INFINITI’s signature double-arch grille, very masculine body sculpting and “human eye” headlamps.

All of this heralds new design schemes and themes that the automaker is beginning to explore for not only its premium SUV line, but for many of its other sedans and coupes.

“The QX Sport Inspiration comes at a time when INFINITI continues to expand its product portfolio globally – into new and popular segments. We design concept cars with true production potential, and the QX Sport Inspiration offers a vision of how INFINITI could bring something exciting and new to the mid-sized SUV segment,” added Francois Bancon, INFINITI Vice President Product Strategy.
