ENJOY SUMMER FUN WITHOUT THE SUN AT THIS LOCAL PEORIA FESTIVAL

Whether you’re looking for something special to do with dad for Father’s Day or you want to spice up your usual Saturday night plans, the annual “Take a Break at the Lake” festival is the place to be on June 17!

“Take a Break at the Lake” is the Arizona version of a beach day, offering Phoenix-area residents a unique way to cool off and celebrate the start of summer. Taking place at the beautiful Pleasant Harbor from 6-10 p.m., the family-friendly festival has plenty to offer patrons of all ages, including food trucks, yard games, live entertainment and a cigar bar.

From giant Jenga and giant Connect Four to corn hole, there are plenty of exciting games to enjoy all festival long. Those who prefer video games to traditional games can even find a bevy of arcade-style games to enjoy in the festival’s game van!

Be sure to bring a bit of pocket money, as local favorites Burgers Amore, El Jefe Tacos, Mustache Pretzels, among many others, will be on site serving up delicious eats. While you snack, you’ll definitely want to check out the festival’s live entertainment, courtesy of Screamin’ Javelinas, as well as country singer Rob West.

Individual admission to “Take a Break at the Lake” is completely free, although there is a $6 gate fee per vehicle, so prepare accordingly. For more information, call (623) 773-7137 or visit the event’s webpage. Happy summer!
